A pair work activity that uses family and house vocabulary.
Includes: house worksheet and family pictures.
The aim is to try and guess correctly where your partner put the family characters in the house.
How to prepare:
1. Print house worksheet on A4 or larger paper. Print family worksheet on B5 (or smaller than house worksheet paper).
2. Cut around the family characters.
How to play:
1. Each student receives one house worksheet and one family set.
2. Decide who will put the family (player 1) and who will guess (player 2).
3. Player 1 puts (DON'T GLUE) each family member in a different room in the house. For example, mum in the living room, dad in the bedroom, etc.
4. Player 2 cannot see Player 1's worksheet. So they must try to guess / predict where they think they put the family. So put each family member in a room (DON'T GLUE).
5. Where each player is ready. Player 2 asks where each family member is one by one. 'Where is your dad?' 'He is in the (bedroom).' 'Where is your brother?' 'He is in the backyard.'
6. If Player 2 put the family member in the same room as Player 1 then they get a point.
7. After asking about each member count how many points Player 2 has. Then change roles.
8. The student with the most points is the winner.
