A speaking and writing activity for using 'Whose... is it?' Contains 2 worksheets. How to use: 1. Students choose 1 animal that they want to be their pet. Cut and color the animal. Only use ONE color. Draw an object that it will hold. For example, a pencil, a ball, a bag, etc. The animals are dog, cat, snake, parrot, hamster, turtle. 2. Write name on back of animal and teacher will collect. Speaking Activity: 1. Give an animal to each student. Check that they did not receive their own one. Make sure that students know which classmate the animal belongs to. But don't show or tell anyone. 2. Students make a pair and play janken. Winner shows pet to partner and asks 'Whose pet is it?' The partner can try to guess twice. They can say 'It's _____. / It's mine. / It's yours.' 3. If the guess is correct, say 'Yes, it is'. If not don't say the answer. Change roles. Writing Activity: 1.
